  Out of pure boredom, let’s try to translate what some guys say and our man thoughts behind it.

  
  

  Guy – “We should hang out sometime”
  Meaning – Let’s go on the closest thing resembling a date that we can.
  Why – If I get your number, sweet! If not, it’s a no-go, time to move on.

  
  

  Guy – “I really like your (article of clothing)”
  Meaning – I like you… *shifty eyes*
  Why – I’m looking at a part of your body and while I could genuinely like whatever you’re wearing, I’m pretending to be fashionable and sweet.

  
  

  Guy – “I’m listening”
  Meaning – I’m listening, please… for the love of god, please don’t turn this into a long, overly drawn out conversation involving emotions.
  Why – We zone out during conversations, that’s a fact. We zone out because we’re trying to process verbal information… and quite frankly, we’re overwhelmed. Okay, that’s a lie but just get to the fucking point sooner, mkay?

  
  

  Guy – Anything involving “think”, “falling”, “maybe” and other words that make statements uncertain or ambiguous.
  Meaning – I’m close to committing to whatever it is I’m saying but… just in case, I need a way out in case I’m wrong. When used in combination, such as “I think I’m falling in love with you”, it’s our piss poor attempt at revealing emotions while not exposing vulnerabilities.
