You know, whether you win or lose in the lottery, you can simply attribute luck for your win or feel disappointment for your loss. You do not bare any responsibility in the outcome. But in a game, or this game of life, no matter what happens, win or lose, you are responsible for the result. So if you win after all the hard work, you validate all your efforts leading up to the result. And if you lose, you accept the loss recognizing that you will have to work even harder. Nothing and nobody but yourself is accountable for the result. Knowing that leaves little to no room to emotionally react to losing.

I don’t agree with the working harder if you lose, maybe working harder when you didn’t win enough. For the lose I rather change strategy.
@iirish - I think that depends on the degree of the loss. If you’re last place, yes, you should definitely change your strategy. If you came in second place, I wouldn’t expect a complete revolution.
