I think it’s obvious people would rather see pictures than read my mindless ramblings… so I’m going to cave in.
Ray (2pro2die) and myself have gotten 80 levels since we last saw him… he got 11?
Confirmation that Ray is gay.
Pair of cheaters, what else is new.
Even I’m star-struck…
Hmmm, when a fellow high level person questions whether I sleep or not…. is that a sign?
Oopsie!
I’M AN ADORING FAN!
Found Nemo and turned him into sushi.
Sorry to toot my own horn…
Maybe I should let someone else do it for me?
Yeah, yeah… I know my ass is strong.
He’s got 2b mesos folks, so… all you kanye west listenin’ gold diggin’ girls go after him (it’s Diton’s sin)
Pop and I, bored.
That’s using the ol’ noodle.
Everyone should become a vegan!
Overkill for papu….
Ugliest mapler of the new era?
Sure I could’ve told him ‘shut up’ to his face… or I could announce it to the whole server for those without a voice.
Grief… probably the only time you’ll see him this weak.
Let me go on a limb here, when I first began Broa – it was wonderful. The assholes were still there but for the most part, the community was still decent and cheaters were fairly scarce. It was a lot of fun not being fueled to grind hours on end since there was nothing to look forward to (no third jobs, no ludi, etc). It was an incredible time, filled with limitless energy for exploration along with the exhilaration of danger. The obvious danger that everyone talked about: more assholes KSing you, people retiring and moving on and possible rollbacks. But there was another danger lurking in the shadows that no one spoke of and quite frankly missed: cheaters. I’m not saying that the Broa today cannot be fun or filled with similiar relationships but we need to be clear about where we stand with cheaters.
Quote myself:
We have tried being civil with hackers. We have tried bribing hackers. What happens? they press on, taking over our maps and we fall back. Now all around me people are beginning to excuse it, justifying that if the person behind the character has a nice personality then they’ll turn a blind eye (e.g. buddying them, partying them, etc). Well, it’s inexcusable to me. How many times do they have to ruin some portion of maple (maps, economy, etc) before it becomes wrong? once? ten times? a hundred times? constantly? how many times before it becomes wrong?
Diplomacy is dead. I won’t compromise any more. |
I still feel the same way and I’m not apologizing for what I wrote, however… I don’t think such a small paragraph conveyed the scope of what I meant. Well, now I’m finding myself questioning whether it’s worth spending the energy to change something I had no control over to begin with. For the non-maple story players… I suppose it’s akin to staying in a bad relationship. It doesn’t make much sense does it?
At what point do you let go… or hold onto and attempt to repair?
