New Subaru WRX render. Supposedly, it is no longer based on the Impreza platform; wheelbase around the same as the Toyota Yaris.

  • I'm not a big fan of celebrating birthdays. Some arbitrary day of our birth based loosely on human devised measurement of time... and the anniversary of it at that, not even the actual birth. What's the big deal about being a year older? is there some special significance to it that everyone around me is aware of except me.

Don't even get me started on the whole gift-giving. What a crock of [expletive deleted]

Now having said all that, NBA.com was the only one out of all the retailers I do my business with online that somehow recalled it was my Birthday. While Birthdays itself have no meaning to me AND the most likely scenario is their system is automated to send something based on the DOB I supplied -- they're getting my business today!

Strange how that worked out, eh.

  • You know, whether you win or lose in the lottery, you can simply attribute luck for your win or feel disappointment for your loss. You do not bare any responsibility in the outcome. But in a game, or this game of life, no matter what happens, win or lose, you are responsible for the result. So if you win after all the hard work, you validate all your efforts leading up to the result. And if you lose, you accept the loss recognizing that you will have to work even harder. Nothing and nobody but yourself is accountable for the result. Knowing that leaves little to no room to emotionally react to losing.

  • Sheer Nightgowns Can Be Fatal

A husband walks into Victoria's Secret to purchase a sheer negligee for his wife. He is shown several possibilities that range from $250 to $500 in price -- the more sheer, the higher the price.

He opts for the sheerest item, pays the $500 and takes it home.

He presents it to his wife and asks her to go upstairs, put it on, and model it for him.

Upstairs, the wife thinks (she's no dummy), "I have an idea... it's so sheer that it might as well be nothing. I won't put it on, I'll do the modeling naked, return it tomorrow and keep the $500 refund for myself"

She appears naked on the balcony and strikes a pose.

The husband says, "Good grief! You'd think for $500, they'd at least iron it!"

    He never heard the shot.

Funeral is on Thursday at Noon.

    The coffin will be closed.

  • You'll have to excuse the quality, I didn't use a video capture card.

One of my first matches online, as Makoto.

Myself playing as Ryu against CC's Ibuki

    My Gouken against Audible_Fury's Guy

My Dudley against Izana's Chun Li (I simply HAD to throw this one up)
Yes, that is a double perfect ^_^

    My Gouken against BigLexx1's Ryu
Second round I made a ton of incorrect guesses + followed by a few correct guesses = epic comeback!!

Watch out for neckbreaker and aerial attacks - play accordingly. Ignore specials on wakeup. Pretty simple this week. Pat on the back for double perfect.

  • A couple of little things I noticed today.
Even though the highlight was getting a Perfect on both siblings, I just allowed them to dictate the pace of the game a little more than I liked. Final tally was around 68-14. I'd say about half those games were spent being a little overconfident and not closing out matches at normal intensity. A few matches lingered due to taunting and should've been quick, easy work. Looking back, I spent too much time around T-Hawk and allowing myself to be grabbed instead of getting in and getting out - much of that from my aggressive nature. Teching throws seemed to be a little bit of an issue today, don't know why but it just seemed like an afterthought. Something that I really need to work on is being quicker on FADC instead of trying to be patient. Lastly, is watching out for Lightning kicks... and completely ignoring the Spinning Bird Kick.

I've been a tad busy and haven't really found time or inspiration to give this spot a proper update. While I'm trying to figure that out in the meantime, I'm going to record some thoughts I had yesterday in regards to some poor play executed by yours truly. I won't blame the fever, the throbbing headache, the constant coughing/sneezing, etc. I was simply outplayed. Several times I allowed was forced into playing outside of my game from fireball pressure. After a few matches, it became quite clear Ultra I had to go in lieu of Ultra II. Switching Ultras did get me a couple of wins but not as many as I had hoped; ultimately 6.5-3.5? The most egregious offense was knowing my matchup (Chun Li) and still attempting to do the little things such as FA, untechable knockdown karakusa, mistimed fukiage (weird jump trajectory) and complete lack of hayate.

Didn't have the same problems with other characters, so maybe just my mindset entering the match or strategy going in was a little off.
