    Celtics vs. Detroit

I’m still kind of pumped, coming fresh off a win against the Knicks and I think I’m allowed to have delusions of grandeur right now. The Detroit Pistions are a well oiled machine – they also thrive on shutting down the wings, which is where most our offense comes from. If you watched the Knicks game, Al Jerfferson was a poor man’s Eddy Curry, generating little to no offense. Paul Pierce and Ricky Davis slashed and dished to our bigs, who basically became spot up shooters. Delonte played great against Stephan Marbury, but Billups is a much, much tougher defender. The Pistons will probably have Tayshaun Prince cover Pierce, while Rip Hamilton runs Davis ragged off countless screens/pick and rolls. In the interior, the combination of Rasheed Wallace and Ben Wallace will absolutely rape us (figuratively). Both Wallace’s play a pretty physical inside game, so I’m sure Coach Doc Rivers will probably have our bigs out of the lane. Let’s face it, Mark Blount and Raef Lafrentz couldn’t post up cardboard box… but they’re dependable mid range jump shooters (15-18 feet).

I don’t think being patient works well with Detroit, we’re a very young team with fresh legs, we need to take advantage of that. We need to cut often and get open, forcing them to collapse and rotate, giving us wide open shots at the weak side baseline. I’ll admit that Detroit is a much better team, but I’m hopefully optimistic about our chances, 95 – 90, Celtics go 2-0

Good job Pistons, with 0.8 seconds to go, (I’m not the greatest X’s and O’s guy) Rip Hamilton came off a variation of a staggered screen, set in almost a pigskin-like O-line formation and got off a clean shot. I hear a lot of people trying to play the blame game, spouting out ‘what if’s’ – we lost, plain and simple. You could blame Kendrick Perkins on not sticking the inbounder (Tayshaun Prince), you could blame Ricky Davis not being able to fight through the screens to contest the shot, or Raef Lafrentz for the not rotating off his man onto Rip or Pierce missing clutch free throws with 70s and 31s on the clock, etc. Let it go, we got beat by one of the best teams in the East.

For those of you who worry about trackers on Xanga, worry no more. I’m going to help you easily circumvent them. The simplest and quickest method, would be to turn off javascript. However, if you’re like me, you want to do it in a way that makes you seem much cooler than you really are. If you haven’t done so already, download Firefox. It’s much safer than Internet Explorer anyways. Next, you’ll want to install a Firefox’s Adblock Extension, which is very useful for not just blocking ads but in this case, remote scripts. In Firefox use the menus to go Tools > Adblock > Preferences. Make sure “Enable Adblock” is ticked, and it’s set to “Remove Ads” (not hide). Add the following in “New Filter” (don’t forget to click ”add” after each one):

    *.extreme-dm.com
    fingerprintx.com
    fingerprintxanga.com
    suhock.com
    suhock.net
    syberdave.net/xanga/*
    trackablog.com
    xangaspy.com
    xangatracker.net
    xtracker.us
    *.ulsp.info
    gottem.net
    kaiyotee.cozysite.com
    kaiyotee.t35.com
    nutbbb.allhyper.com

The asterisk would block the pages from the root, but it’s not foolproof — nothing is completely 100% safe. If you think the nslookup and ISP might tag you, then you should probably stop the cocaine lab in the basement, ‘kay? You can, and in my opinion, ought to check the sites you visit frequently by running them through Got’em’s xanga-tracker Sniffer. If you’re really concerned about your friends knowing that you visit their site (why are you stalking your friends?), then you might want to one up that. I occasionally use an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) VPN (Virtual Private Network) anti-script access called Megaproxy.  It’s $10 for 3 months, but you can try it free here.  There are others, too, such as Anonymizer, with both paid and free (upper right hand corner) versions.  Of course, the free versions are limited (usually to the amount of free surfing you can do).  But then again, this may be something you only want to engage occassionally and then the free versions are just fine. Secondly, the logs, in the latest version, are entirely non-public so that no one else can spy on you tracking on them.  For instance, the outsourced Xanga Anti-Stalker module which is in place on my blog for the purpose of this entry, which I will probably never look at (again), is viewable here.  If someone else has a Xanga Anti-Stalker module, you need only insert their username in the URL to see who they are tracking.  Even Got-Em’s tracker, though seemingly password protected, can be circumvented by an unpublished alias URL.
