  • I’ve been playing a lot of Maple Story lately and even though I’ve only logged in a little more than a week, I find that I need to bust out the n00b translator at the turn of every corner. Not that n00b speak isn’t prevalent in other games, because it is, but Maple Story seems especially bad. That could just be me, since it’s the only game I’ve been playing this past week, but anyways…:

    Examples:
    1. Gib mesarz noa plox

Translation: Dear Sir/Ma’am, but could you please spare a bit of money to get my character going?

    2. Trn mi nao plix

Translation: Would you enjoy a party event in which we were to share meso drops and a small portion of experience?

    3. WFT U R teh Nubb

Translation: Dear me, you are doing something that is strange. Would you like a tutorial in how to play Maple Story?

    Bonus!
    4. i r am greetest, nao i leeb 4 no raisin

Translation: My apologies, I am handicapped. Apart from my obvious deficiencies, such as spelling and grammar, I also make outrageous claims of being “great”. To make amends I will now banish myself from your presence, oh exalted one!

    QotD:
If pizza were emo, then it would cut itself and workers would have no jobs.
